The roots of our distillery reach back to 1947. Ignaz Unterthurner, curious, courageous, ahead of his time, laid the cornerstone in Marlengo together with his wife Luise. In an era of upheaval, they dared to build their own distillery.
In the 1980s, son Alois and his wife Christine set out on new paths. Instead of following the common Williams pear, they turned their focus to berries and sparked our lasting passion for the raspberry. This decision marked the beginning of greater variety, more character, more depth in the glass.
Today, Stephan and Renate Unterthurner continue the story. In the third generation, with respect for what exists, and the courage to think further. The range has been reshaped, the design refined, the palette expanded: rum, vermouth, and barrel-aged distillates. New ideas meet old values. Our development lab is our creative space: experiments with raspberries, wild herbs or rare fruits become new worlds of distillation.
